Missional Giving Sunday is September 24th
Missional Giving Sunday
In September 2019, Grace Church began a partnership with Compassion International at GU-875 Elim Student Center in San Antonio, Suchitepequez Guatemala. Children and families in this community face tremendous challenges: extreme poverty, limited education and health care access, domestic violence, violence against children, drugs, gangs, and more. On September 24th, for our Missional Giving Sunday, we have an opportunity to make an immediate impact by:
FIRST: Grace Church will be funding the construction and operational costs of a Child Survival Center in our partner town of San Antonio, Suchitepequez. This program works to provide medical, physical, and emotional care for mothers and children throughout pregnancy and the first year of life. This program is single handedly changing the landscape of infant mortality and overall health of mothers and children in Guatemala. So on Sunday, September 24th, 100% of our giving across all Grace locations will go directly to funding our partnership with Compassion and the building/operating of this Child Survival Center. We’re asking God to provide $25,000 to finance these life changing ministries.
SECOND: not only are we looking to fund a major project like this, but we are also asking you to consider sponsoring a child in our partner town of San Antonio. Sponsoring a child is about changing a life. Through your sponsorship, you have the chance to not only change a child’s life and future, but foster an ongoing relationship with them. In fact in 2024, we are planning a mission trip to visit the children and the development center in San Antonio. Following the service on Missional Giving Sunday, we invite you to visit our Compassion tables and learn more about how you can make a huge impact and lean into our value of mission.
