Netherlands Mission Team is Back
Welcome Back Netherlands Mission Team!
Thank you Grace Church for your prayer and support for our Netherlands Team! We saw God at work as we partnered with pastor Christiaan and Cecelia VanDijk and their church in Apeldoorn, Netherlands. Our primary focus was to work with the church there to extend the love of Christ through hospitality and practical help. We did this by offering an English Language Camp for neighborhood kids, and an all-neighborhood BBQ. We connected with about 80-100 adults and kids, building bridges of friendship that the church will follow up on the rest of the summer. Along the way we saw Dutch children and families from atheist and non-religious backgrounds as well as Syrian refugee children and their parents participate. The team also received seminars in outreach in a post-Christian setting from several leaders during the week. We’re looking forward to seeing what next steps in missional partnership we can take with Pastor Christiaan and his church in the future.
