Help us with two home builds on October 10th from 9 AM - 4 PM. Together with Habitat for Humanity, we can forge a better future for families by providing simple and safe, quality and affordable housing in Wayne and Washtenaw County.

Registration is required. This event is for adults and students 16+ years of age. Keep reading below to learn more about the health & safety requirements for this build!

We will have a one-hour lunch break around noon, so be sure to either bring a lunch or make arrangements in advance.

All volunteers are required to agree to our online waiver in order to work with us on construction sites (included in the registration form). Due to safety regulations, individuals under the age of 16 cannot be permitted on site. Those ages 16 and 17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, who will also need to sign the minor's online waiver.

Wear comfortable clothing, dress for the weather and wear work boots or sneakers. All tools, supervision and safety equipment will be provided. Lunch will not be provided, but bottled water is available. Projects will vary from week to week, but our Habitat house leader will ensure a variety of tasks are available. Activities that volunteers will be involved with will vary depending on the stage of the project, and can range from demolition to putting up blue board, siding, installing cabinets and windows, to painting. We will notify you of your location and expected tasks on the Tuesday before your scheduled build day.

Habitat for Humanity of Huron Valley is using health and safety guidelines to ensure the safety of staff, contractors, partner families, and volunteers on our construction sites. All construction volunteers will need to bring and wear PPE (a mask or covering) while on site. We are also encouraging volunteers to bring their own eye protection, gloves, large reusable water bottle, and lunch. Additionally, all volunteers will be required to complete a health survey on the day of volunteering. This survey will be given to you by Habitat staff.
